I purchased the Briggs & Stratton 1450 series engine as a direct replacement for the 8 hp B&S engine on my log splitter. Normally, I would just rebuild the engine, but the price and warranty changed my mind. The new engine arrived before the delivery date given. The new engine was almost an exact fit, however, I had to add shims to the base of the engine to keep the hose from the hydraulic pump elevated above the mounting platform. Engine started and ran perfectly. Completed the tree clearing project and first oil change. Great buy for the money.See all 1 customer reviews...
